Few people in the world do what they love every day for a living. Many of them are professional athletes. While I don’t make a living playing sports, I do get to cover them, and to me, that's just as good.

I've always said I want a place where my love for sports and my passion for good journalism come together into what I call my dream job. Though my true passion is sports reporting, my love for journalism began much earlier. I was born into a family of journalists. Both of my parents worked for local network affiliates, so I literally grew up in the newsroom. I believe my early exposure gave me a strong foundation to build upon and a unique appreciation for where the business has been and how it’s changing.

My early experiences and education provided me with a full toolbox of skills that allow me to excel in reporting, writing, shooting and editing. I challenge myself to tell stories in the most compelling way I can and across multiple media.  I can’t narrow my journalistic dedication down to one aspect of the field, but I know each day motivates me even more than the last...

From a rookie hitting a home run in his big league debut, to college football teams striving to revive a drowning program. From families celebrating the same school traditions  - 5 kids and 50 years running, to the mud and blood of the sidelines. I haven't quite figured out how to put this passion into words, but to take a line from

Major League Baseball, “I live for this.”
